Ramside Hall Hotel at Carrville in County Durham was chosen by Danielle & David (pictured) to host their wedding reception and County Durham Wedding DJ was hired by the couple to provide our Professional Mobile Disco service. County Durham Wedding DJ is hired to perform at many high class venues and events across the North East of England, but as an independent DJ company, we always like to showcase our services where venues usually have a Resident DJ.

It’s often very easy for couples to accept the guidance of Wedding Coordinators at venues to use the in-house/Resident DJ as it’s one less thing for the couple to deal with. However, there are couples who do want to spend the time on finding the right DJ for them to take charge of the second half of their wedding day celebrations. We are proud that Danielle & David felt that County Durham Wedding DJ ticked all of the boxes for the couple and that we were brought in to provide the entertainment for their party at Ramside Hall Hotel.

Many venues say that their packages include a ‘free DJ’. However, it’s often important to mention that rarely are things free and if a couple is using a venue with ‘packages’ the cost of the DJ is hidden/included in their fee (sometimes with 20% VAT on top!). When things are perceved as being free, the venue needs to strike a balance between the cost of them hiring the DJ and the quality of the DJ they use. It’s up to the venue to decide which is the most important factor and we wouldn’t like to comment on which option they go for.

In this instance, Danielle & David didn’t go for the Resident DJ and hired County Durham Wedding DJ to perform at Ramside Hall Hotel in Durham. We brought our professional Wedding DJ services to their event and took on-board their thoughts and wishes for their big day to offer a bespoke service with direct access and contact with us here at County Durham Wedding DJ.

The couple selected Ellie Goulding’s ‘How Long Will I Love You’ as their first dance and followed that up with a Father-Daughter dance which consisted of ‘I Loved Her First’ by Heartland. Our remit was to play a wide selection of music and we did just that by playing selections from many genres and music that appealed to all ages.

We look forward to future bookings from discerning couples who have hired Ramside Hall Hotel to host their wedding day celebrations.

Wynyard Hall Hotel was chosen by Natasha and Matthew (pictured right) to host their wedding reception. The couple also hired County Durham Wedding DJ to provide part of the entertainment package for the second half of their wedding day. As well as the wide range of music provided by us, the happy couple also has a singer to provide a short spell of live music. The rest of the evening was down to us to use our knowledge and experience to entertain the various ages in attendance – something that we always do at the various events we do throughout the North East each year.

County Durham Wedding DJ has been to Wynyard Hall Hotel many times and it’s always great to perform in such a lovely venue and it’s refreshing to see that not all couples go for the Resident DJ option and it’s great to know that couples looking for their wedding DJ can and will research who they feel is the best company to provide the mobile disco and music that they want.

Natasha and Matthew liaised closely with us on the run up to their special day and they provided a list of their favourite songs to incorporate into the evening wedding reception. Their selections included the first dance, John Legend – All Of Me, which was sung by a singer who also performed Ed Sheeran – Thinking Out Loud and Kiesza – Hideaway. The video (above) shows those parts of the party.

County Durham Wedding DJ was the primary source of music and entertainment for Joanne and Martin who held their Wedding Reception at the Blackwell Grange Hotel in Darlington, County Durham.

The couple asked us to make sure that all of their guests were catered for at their party and we made sure there was enough music from across the decades to cater for not only the happy couple, but their friends and family as well.

The newlyweds picked a special song for their First Dance as husband and wife: Bon Jovi – Always.  They also sent us this feedback a few weeks after their big day:

“We would like to say a huge thank-you to Michael Blackman (County Durham Wedding DJ) for providing the music for our wedding reception.

We initially booked County Durham Wedding DJ’ ecause the price was better than any other quotes we had received and the website looked impressive.  On the lead up to our big day we sent some song requests to Michael by e-mail which were no problem for Michael to play.

On the night, Michael arrived on time and introduced himself and his colleague to us.  The music on the night was absolutely excellent.  I have been to weddings and parties before when the dance floor has emptied due to a bad song, but the floor was full all night with all the guests enjoying themselves and dancing well into the night.

The video that was done of our first dance including pictures from the night was a lovely touch and I would definitely recommend County Durham Wedding DJ to anyone. The reception was made all the better by the presence of such experienced DJs.

We can’t thank you enough.

Joanne & Martin Hunter

Blackwell Grange Hotel”

We’d like to wish Joanne & Martin all the very best for the future and there’s a short video below that captures some of the memorable parts of their evening wedding reception and the disco that was provided by us.
