We would like to thank Michael (AKA County Durham Wedding DJ) for doing such a wonderful job at our wedding.

He played all of the songs we wanted, as well as taking requests from our friends and family.  The dance floor was full all night, and every one of our guests has said what a wonderful time they had.

The added touch of taking photographs during the evening and video footage of our first dance was brilliant! We received a CD of photographs in the post just a few days after the wedding and we have enjoyed looking at these action shots!

Thanks once again for making it such an enjoyable evening - we are so glad we hired you!

Hall Garth Hotel Wedding Reception Disco

We booked County Durham Wdeding DJ for our wedding as the price was excellent.  From the moment of booking, Michael kept in contact with us regarding the type of music we would like playing and the song choice for our first dance.

On the evening, the music was fantastic - his brief was to keep the party going with a mixture of old and new party songs and he certainly did that.  He accepted any requests from our guests with a smile and every request was played.

Bishop Auckland Golf Club in County Durham (Captains Charity Event)

I had arranged an evening to celebrate my 50th birthday and to raise money for the Captains Charity (the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation) for the 11th February 2012.  After the mild winter, the weather changed with avengence, bringing the first snow and severe icy conditions of the year.  I was concerned that the weather could affect the evening and the possibility that it may be difficult for the disco to get there.  I was re-assured by Michael of that he would get there no matter what and if there was a possibility that the the weather could be inclement he would get the equipment to Bishop Auckland Golf Club early and if necessary would walk there as he was local.

This was very re-assuring. The evening was well attended and a great success, raising over £1,000 for the Captains Charity with Michael delivering appropriate music for the occassion and was enjoyed by all.

I have used Michael Blackman before and would have no hesitation in using him again.

We wanted to say a big "Thank You" to County Durham Wedding DJ for making our daughter's wedding so very, very special.

Everyone commented on how fantastic the music was and the fact that everyone was up dancing all night to the songs.  We certainly could not have achieved this without your help.  You certainly came up trumps again for us, I am sure that you wil remember that you did my 25th Wedding Anniversary party last August, where you transported us back to the 80s, again another fantastic evening had by all.

At the wedding you listened to our choice of songs and you delivered them.  Everyone was really impressed and if I am able to find another excuse for an evening's party, I will do!!!

By the way the chocholate fountain - was to die for, everyone enjoyed the array of fruit and marshmallows. This helped to complete the evening.  Lots of people asked me for your number so hopefully they too will be able to enjoy an evening of non stop dancing - as long as they invite me though!!!

Spennymoor Town Hall Wedding Reception, Spennymoor

We first saw Michael at our friend's baby's Christening so we knew he was good.

We decided to book them for our evening wedding reception and we were so pleased we did.  Michael mentioned that we could make requests in advance, so he could be sure to play the music we wanted.  He played a mix of 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s so it would appeal to all our guests and people were dancing right til the end of the night.

We were really impressed with the lights too, they created a lovely atmosphere and made our first dance feel really special.

So, thank you to Michael and the team for helping to make our night very memorable.  It was the perfect end to a perfect day.  We will certainly recommend you too our friends!

Wedding Reception at Clow Beck House, Croft-on-Tees

Thank you so much for the disco you provided for our daughter's wedding reception at Clow Beck House - you provided exactly what was wanted.

You demonstrated that you can adapt your system to a small venue without either overpowering its intimacy, nor losing the excitement of your light show and sound system.  It was only a small reception for 35 people aged from 28 to 78, and only a minority were dancing - but you managed to keep the music flowing, and judged the selection from the playlist just right.

Most of all, we appreciated your flexibility – and speed of setting up – as the disco and dance area had to wait for dining tables to be cleared, and this over-ran, with the speeches and cutting of the cake.  It was a useful idea that we took everyone outside for the launching of lanterns while you were carrying this out, but there was a fully set up light and sound show to greet us when we returned for the dancing.  A great time was had by all!

Wedding at Hurworth Grange, Darlington
