Beamish Museum is famous for portraying the history of the North East of England, but not many people know that the museum is also a great location for a wedding reception. There’s a growing trend for traditional themed weddings and Beamish Museum is a perfect location to fit in with the popular trend.
County Durham Wedding DJ was booked by Di and Neil (pictured right) to provide the Wedding Disco for their special day. The happy couple selected the Cutting Crew with I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight as their first dance as husband and wife (video below).
As well as having a short list of their favourite songs, there was a special song for their son, Oliver, who loves Hit The Road Jack by Ray Charles.
A stones throw from Beamish Museum is Beamish Hall Hotel. The hotel is a venue that County Durham Wedding DJ has been to many times before and the newlyweds stayed at Beamish Hall Hotel on their wedding night.
Beamish Museum is certainly a novel and very appealing location to host a wedding reception and we look forward to working in there again.
Following the wedding celebrations at Beamish Museum, the newlyweds sent us this feedback:
“My wife and I would like to give a huge thank you to County Durham Wedding DJ for the part that they played in making a great night at our wedding reception at Beamish Museum. They played some great music and included all the songs we had requested.
I would recommend them for any party and would use them again if we needed a DJ in the future.
Professional and helpful from first enquiry through to last dance.
Di & Neil”
